Introductions:
Tom Hibbert shared his background and qualifications in education. He is willing to offer free classes for parent and grandparent education. He discussed an ability to counsel on a wide range of topics. He is eager to hear back from the PTA or Mr. Martin.
Claire Bream gave the Treasurer's Report.
The benefits of applying for a PTA VISA listed below: $50 cash back upon approval, % back on purchases, out-of-pocket expenses reduced. Ability to order online with ease. "Safety Checks and Balances." President will hold card. Statements reviewed by the Treasurer. A Cap per/month of $5,000.

Carol Monohon telephoned past PTA members prior to the meeting inviting them to join PTA again. Welcomed new members and encouraged all efforts to pledge new membership.
Nan Johnson was the winner of the PTA teacher membership drawing and was awarded $50 for use in her classroom.
Sara Wicks reminded everyone to turn in sweatshirt orders due October 10th. Order will be placed the beginning of next week.
Julie Martin discussed Book Fair Success and asked for feedback from parents and teachers about the event. Funds earned surpassed last year's record by $200!

Carnival Date set: April 12 at North Bend Middle School
Classrooms will choose the theme and a reward will be given for the wining idea

Volunteers requested to stock and run store
Technology Update! high School student Michael Brainard gave demonstration of the Hillcrest website. He was given a $200 check for the second half of the previously approved payment.
Mr. Buskerud and Mrs. Melton gave a demonstration of document cameras which have been requested by the 4rd grade under the Grade Level Grants program. Amount approved for up to $2,500.
